Tomohiro Uchida

Born in Kumamoto, Japan, in 1986, Tomohiro Uchida graduated from Izumi Ceramic Art School in 2012 before apprenticing under renowned ceramic artist Taizo Kuroda. He currently works from his studio in Fuji, Shizuoka.

Characterized by its quiet presence and refined simplicity, Uchida's white porcelain flower vessel embodies a sense of calm. Soft curves, subtle shadows, and the faint traces of the potter's wheel reveal the warmth of the handmade process, while its carefully finished surface reflects exceptional craftsmanship.

Designed to hold a single seasonal branch or flower, the vessel brings a quiet balance to a space. Rather than drawing attention to itself, it gently enhances the natural beauty of each stem, inviting a moment of stillness into everyday life.
