Fermented Sakura Leaf & Kuromoji Hojicha

Leaves of Oshima cherry, which announce the arrival of spring, softly fragrant kuromoji, and Job's tears (hatomugi), brought together and finished as a hojicha of gentle roasted fragrance.

Oshima cherry leaves are distinguished by the fragrance also found in sakura mochi, and are said to have relaxing and antioxidant effects. Their delicate, gentle scent softly envelops the presence of spring.

Kuromoji is a plant of the laurel family that grows wild in Japan's mountainous regions, and has long been cherished as a Japanese fragrance.

Together with the roasted fragrance of the hojicha, please enjoy a moment of settling the heart, while feeling the breath of spring's grasses and trees.

How to prepare
Place about 3 g of tea leaves in a kyusu or teapot, pour water at about 80–90°C (250–300 ml) over them, steep for about 5 minutes, and enjoy.

Recommended after a spring meal, or for a calm moment in the afternoon.
